What will you find in the Benformoso apartments?
The Benformoso apartments, like all accommodation at Lisbon Serviced Apartments, have been decorated according to exquisite standards of elegance and functionality. There are 11 apartments divided into three types: the studios, with 28 to 34 m², where up to two people can stay; the T1 apartments, with 42 to 50 m², capable of accommodating up to three guests; and, finally, the T2 apartments, with an area of 60 m², which can accommodate up to four people.
All of these units have a kitchenette equipped with a fridge, oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher, coffee machine, kettle, toaster and basic utensils for preparing light meals. In addition, you have a private bathroom with a shower, hairdryer and free toiletries. If you need to store your luggage outside your stay-time, you can use our lockers located on the entrance level of the building.
Largo do Intendente: the rejuvenated cool “hood” of the city
Once considered a degraded, and even dangerous place, the Intendent has now a fresh look. After the profound revitalization it underwent, this area became a mandatory stop in the city. Especially for those looking for alternative experiences to the most common tourist circuits.
In the travel supplement of the The New York Times, journalist Chadner Navarro claimed that more and more “well-informed residents and travelers are heading to Intendente, a historic neighborhood in the Portuguese capital that has undergone an impressive remodeling”. After all, this became one of the most interesting, colorful and pulsating areas of Lisbon.
With this rejuvenation, artists, galleries, record, decoration, clothing, vintage stores, cafes, bars and restaurants arrived with inspirations from the four corners of the planet. Casa Independente, a cultural space that also has a bar/restaurant, is housed in a mansion dating back to 1863, a two-minute walk from the Benformoso apartments. A walk through Lisbon’s fairs
In recent years, Lisbon’s fame has crossed borders. The stunning beauty of its neighborhoods, viewpoints and monuments, its unique light and, of course, the city’s liveliness and excitement contributed greatly to this. To immerse yourself in that liveliness, you can go discover the fairs that take place nearby.
The Feira do Intendente is undoubtedly the most multicultural in the metropolis. Here, on the second Sunday of each month, on the irreverent Rua dos Anjos, you will find organic products, delicacies of very different coordinates, artisans and artists with different aesthetic sensibilities, and even some second-hand objects sellers. All of this immersed in an atmosphere full of color and soul.
Just over a kilometer from the Benformoso apartments, the most famous of Lisbon’s fairs takes place. We speak, of course, of the Feira da Ladra, whose creation dates back to the 13th century. Well, this market takes place on Tuesdays and Saturdays in Santa Clara, close to the National Pantheon, with a privileged view of the Tagus River.
This street fair is traditionally dedicated to the trade of used objects; here you can find products as diverse as furniture, antique cameras, pocket watches, books or vinyl records. Among antiques and old things, authentic gems are sometimes discovered – is there any better memory of a visit to Lisbon?
Close to the city sights
One of the great advantages of your stay in the Intendente area will be the proximity to all places of mandatory visit for tourists. Therefore, you will have easy access to unmissable attractions, such as the imposing São Jorge Castle, the Santa Luzia Viewpoint, with a wide view over Alfama and the Tagus River, the Nossa Senhora do Monte Viewpoint, where you can enjoy the bustle from Downtown Pombalina, Praça da Figueira or Praça do Comércio, two of the most iconic (and photographed) spaces in the metropolis. Get lost!
Being in an apartment does not mean being without service!
The apartments were designed and equipped for short and medium-term stays in Lisbon, so that you can feel as if you were in your own home.
We have a permanent support service for everything you need, from questions related to the apartment, with your stay, to clarify any doubts, to requests for information about the city, to advise on a restaurant, shopping center or museum!

All our apartments have service and help-desk open 24/7. Our buildings have a team that is present in the building 365 days a year, who in addition to the daily maintenance of your apartment will be available to help you (these services are included in the daily rate).
The apartments are fully furnished with bed and bath linen, as well as appliances and kitchen utensils. All apartments benefit from a daily cleaning service that includes the change of bed and bath linen after 3 nights, or when necessary. The daily cleaning service does not include cleaning the kitchen, washing the dishes or treating clothes. If the kitchen needs to be cleaned, this service will be charged for an additional cost of € 25.00 /day. We have an optional laundry service.
The apartments are equipped with all the amenities for a pleasant stay. Everything is strictly inventoried. Nothing may be removed from the apartment. Any missing or damaged items will be charged to the client at market price plus a fee of € 30.00/item to cover replacement costs.
The apartments have dozens of cable channels (varies depending on location). If your apartment has a box, you must tune the HDMI on the TV and then turn on the receiver and choose the desired channel. If your apartment does not have a box, just choose the channels using your own command.
In addition to traditional commerce, there are always supermarkets very close to the buildings. It is also possible to get a home delivery service by choosing from a menu from an endless list of restaurants. Optionally, you can also request purchases for your stay, even being possible to have all your purchases done when you arrive at the apartment!
Check-in & Check-out
Check-in is done from 14:00h, and Check-out must be until 12:00h. During the booking period, you can enter the apartment at any time. Arrivals before 14:00 (‘early check-in’), or departures after 12:00 (‘late checkout’), are possible subject to availability at an additional cost of 40% on the published daily rate for the apartment.
The building has several Wi-Fi hotspots. Access is free. The access code can be found at the entrance to the apartment.
On-street parking is normally paid for and is usually secure. However, we suggest the usual care in this type of situation. Please be advised that certain areas have parking meters and are for limited duration parking. Check the map for the nearest covered car parks
All our apartments are non-smoking. If you do not comply with the smoking ban, a €100.00 cleaning and odor removal fee will be charged.
